Naked Angels (1969)

Mother, a biker gang leader, gets out of prison and reconnects with his old pals. His only wish is to get back at the rival gang that snitched him out in the first place. Leading them throughout the desert, Mother seems to have lost his touch and gets rejected from the gang and left alone to get his revenge...
Unluckily, Bruce D. Clark only directed one bikersploitation in his short career and and this film is it. Naked Angels employs a standard recipe for a film of this kind and does not even care to take a step out of the beaten path. That may seem to please most but not me and certainly not when even the expected amount of nudity is missing somewhere. Nevertheless, some great footage of the wild American desert and its riders, some intense violent scenes in the end and the lively soundtrack seem to make up for it!

Michael Greene holds the role of the main character and as anti-hero as he would like to appear I simply can't accept him as the center of the film's story. He even treats his bitch, Jennifer Gan, like she was a model from Facial Abuse. Not cool at all! Luckily, Richard Rust a.k.a Fingers comes to take the lead and bring a more democratic touch to the gang!
Must watch this : grab a six-pack of some good beer, wear your dirty jeans and just a vest, get a filthy burger and enjoy this slacker like a true American!

A Promise of Bed (1970)

Three stories of seduction and sexual intensity. An aged model seduces whom he believes to be a film producer's son, a middle-aged man attempts suicide but his life is turned upside down by a young hippie minx and a hedonist taxi driver has an accident and in his dizziness he dreams of utopian lands filled with with naked women...
For a film that is supposed to be a sexploitation comedy, I can't say it's funny. It is rather sad and food-for-thought-full and even worse, the level of nudity and tits don't even reach the minimum for the film to be considered a nudie classic. Nevertheless, the storyline is cheap and cult enough and so is the atmosphere towards the end (psychedelic visions and weird naked ladies) so I guess just for the sake of "I have watched this", a maniac cult addict should watch it.
Vanda Hudson is one hot milf piece of ass, a classic British washed-down hippie chick trying to find her long lost fame and glory. Victor Spinetti is equally nice but not in the sexploitation way but in a more sad and black-humored way. Vanessa Howard was just the usual minx they had to hire to elevate the level, unsuccessfully.
Must watch this :  whenever you throw a party have that sex flick playing in the background with some subs. It is sure to elevate the cult-ness of the party!

Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) a.k.a Nosferatu : Phantom der Nacht

Jonathan Harker, a young estate agent, is sent to Transylvania in order to settle a deal with Count Dracula who wants to buy a house in Wismar, where Jonathan lives. Despite all objections, Jonathan meets the Count and is in to find out his horrible nature...
Werner Herzog may have just directed the best Dracula film ever to be made. This film is more than just an art house remake of the 1922 classic and definitely more raw than the 1992 contemporary classic. The atmosphere of the film is simply one of eeriest and gloomiest ones you'll ever feel in a horror film - it's like you know someone is following you behind the bushes - and the doom goes on and on and on until you are left with your mouth open.
Oh glorious Klaus Kinski. Proving once again his undoubted talent, Kinski has the balls to play Nosferatu, The King of Vampyres, in a fashion that respects the original and brings a whole new essence to the character. Equally stunning is Bruno Ganz and Isabelle Adjan, who play the unfortunate couple that happens to be in the way of the creature of the night. Especially the last scenes where Bruno becomes dazed and Isabelle wanders the streets now filled with the plague are artistically awe-inspiring.
Must watch this :  on the rainiest night so far. Make a Bloody Mary, get covered with a blanket and enjoy this creeper while the storm outside plays a song of death and misery! Yikes!

21 Jump Street (2012)

Two goofy and ever-failing cops are assigned on a secret mission ; they are to infiltrate a high school as students and put a stop to the rise of a new and dangerous drug that has been making its way to the kids...
All right, you got me. This is too modern to be considered cult but I beg to differ! Given its cult past already (it used to be a series starring Johnny Depp in the days of yore), 21 Jump Street has all it takes to make it as a classic cult stoner comedy and it should as it is one of the few American comedy films that made me laugh recently. Hats off to directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller for that sixpack-making combination. Drugs? Plenty. Boobs? Could be more. Cheesy humor?Duh! Carefree vibes? Count me in!
It's nice to see Channing Tatum in something else other than his usual cute-face bullshit. OK, it's not that he changed his career with this film but at least he can take some comedy lessons by not-so-fat-anymore Jonah Hill. The addition of Ice Cube elevates the level of the film and so does that of Dave Franco, Rob Riggle,
Brie Larson and a cameo from Johnny Depp as the a cult reference!
Must watch this : roll a fat one and enjoy this film with the dudes. Laugh your ass off during the Phases scene and cool off with that fucker afterwards.

Ms.45 (1981)

A young mute tailor's assistant gets robbed and raped twice in the same day on her way back home. Unable to bear the burden of such emotional distress, she starts killing every man in a spree killing manner that constitutes ,by her standards, a possible threat to any woman out there...
A decade out the decade it should have been in, Ms. 45 is an early 80's rape-and-revenge thriller that creates an amazing atmosphere. Director Abel Ferrara manages to portray as best as possible all the anxiety and emotional confusion that this woman may have been in and the result is an entertaining mix of thrilling scenes and a smell of psychological filth emanating from somewhere. Definitely, a must-watch for any woman out there or any potential rapist.
Zoë Lund is indeed stunning as the lead actress and although I don;t find her attractive, I must kneel before her perfect performance. Her vague look and uneasy of movement show a lady that has been through hell but still walks. Albert Sinkys, S. Edward Singer, Peter Yellen and Abel Ferrara himself play the various men that did not know what they were bargaining for.
Must watch this :  with all your feminists friends and their grumpy boyfriends.

Borat (2006)

Borat Sagdiyev, a journalist from Kazakhstan is sent to the United States by his government in order to document his interactions with the locals and bring back useful cultural tips to help his country's progress and social development...
With his first appearance being on the great Ali G, Borat finally got his movie in 2006. Breaking all moral and social border, Larry Charles and Sacha Baron Cohen present a film that seems to be jumping from a mockumentary to a scripted comedy every 5 minutes. Apparently, most of the gimmicks in the movie were unscripted and that's why this film holds a great list of lawsuits, even from the government of Kazakhstan. Being so raw and utterly offensive, Borat finally gets his message through, proving that the captivity in which we have let ourselves in simply derives from our pretense!
Simply Sacha Baron Cohen and Ken Davitian and lots of of unaware American people. The shocker and the mocker of the tricks these two pull in public are stunning and awkwardly funny with a special interest in racist jokes pointed to Jews. You gotta love this film just for that!
Must watch this : order from the best Kebab place in your town and watch this with your friends and the fog of heavy garlic and spices that will gather in the air.
