Eyes Behind The Wall (1977) a.k.a L'Occhio Dietro La Parete

An old paralyzed man and his wife start to spy on the young man to whom they rent an apartment. It starts out as a simple act of curiosity and research for the old man's next novel but soon things will get mixed up when his wife has sex with the young strange man. Old secrets will resurface haunt them once again...
Giuliano Petrelli directs this intense, unique blend of giallo and drama. The atmosphere builts up progressively throughout the film and escalate in a fine result. Classic giallo-ish colours and mood that remind that this is an Italian film and you should expect the most twisted ending.
High-class acting that most serious drama films would be jealous of! The old man, the wife, the young man and the butler all play their best in portraying their socially awkward and weird characters. Fernando Rey, Olga Bisera, John Phillip Law and José Quaglio all deserve an Oscar equivalent for underground films, especially Olga Bisera for getting naked. A moody soundtrack binds everything together and there is only one thing to say : Europe, bitch!
Must watch this : with your most perverted (not sexually) and socially weird female friend you have. Enjoy with a dish of Pasta Napolitana with pecorino cheese!
A tasty start
