Everyday characters on the verge of nervous breakdown trying to figure life out while all they need to do is just chill and have a White Russian. Bowling, joints, alcohol and lives with no clear purpose and a trippy soundtrack to bind all these together. This movie has no actual purpose and that is where its beauty lies...
Jeff Bridges in the role that got him to the state of a cult figure with John Goodman and Steve Buscemi by his side while Philip Seymour Hoffman (R.I.P) , David Huddleston and Julianne Moore fill up the rest of the cast. High-level acting that hits the exact buttons,not the one to make you relate to the characters but the one to make you wanna see yourself in their shoes for once.
Must watch this : you can't watch this without at least 3 White Russians and a packet of cigarettes. And you sure can't watch this if your mind is not chilling in the right place. So lose any anxiety that may poison you and enjoy with your equally tripped-out bros. After the film take a drive out to nowhere with this baby for a soundtrack!
