Frankenhooker (1990)

A medical school dropout loses his fiancée in a tragic (but funny) lawnmower accident. Devastated by his loss, he decides to bring her back. Unfortunately, all he has is her head, so in order to bring her back to life he lures and kills prostitutes and takes the parts he needs for his beloved wife-would-have-been.
Fucked-up gore comedy in the vein of 80s classics. Frank Henenlotter is a known psycho director of this genre so he does not fail to bring forth what we expect from him. Body parts flying in the air, black humor, impossible science and a bunch of obscure characters make this funny fling happen! If you are too easily offended by stupidity and cheap effects, don't watch but otherwise dig in.
James Lorinz gives the performance of his life here as a lunatic scientist obsessed with bringing back his dead love. A true Frankenstein of his era (not), he is a Dr. Emmett Brown but one of obscure and twisted experiments. Joanne Ritchie & Patty Mullen fill in the various gaps in the film with their figures but not with their acting skills and give it the cheesy atmosphere it is supposed to have!
Must watch this : alone because your friends may make fun of you for the films you are watching. So, screw them, make yourself a light cocktail and watch this on a random night!
