The Devil Bat (1940)

A respectable and seemingly quiet doctor-scientist performs his evil experiments in the secret laboratories of his house. His plan is to breed giant bats and use them to get revenge from the corporate world that robbed him of his glory and wealth.
You gotta love that stuff! Classic Bela Lugosi in a film directed by Jean Yarbrough with a smashing story story. I miss that kind of imagination in today's cinema....I mean come on! Giant bats excited by an after-shave lotion go on a killing spree for the evil deeds of an evil scientist! That's why people invented cinema, not for watching stuff they watch anyway everyday! They really weren't of trying and failing back in these days!
All hail, Bela Lugosi! Like in every other movie he plays in, he is not only a part of the movie, he actually is the movie. Look for the way he says goodbye to his enemies.Priceless. The rest of the cast merely supports him and I don't mean it in the bad way. They are good actors, they just happened to support master Lugosi. Be afraid.Be very afraid.
Must watch this : on a winter Sunday night and then ponder imaginative ways to kill your boss in the next day!!!
