Mill of the Stone Women (1960) a.k.a Il Mulino Delle Donne Di Pietra

Hans arrives to a town near Amsterdam to cover a story about Professor Val, a notable sculptor who lives in an old mill house with his beautiful daughter. The people of the town calls this mill the Mill of the Stone Women and soon Hans will find out why...
Prolific Giorgio Ferroni directs this notable 60's horror film. The mood and atmosphere of the film are amazing and that is thanks to the characteristic Italian know-how for the genre. Squeaky floors, spooky statues, a mysterious plot and a devilish love that was never meant to be. Nothing can beat that, not even the scenario that sometimes may have you puzzled.
Pierre Brice is amazing as leading role Hans who has to choose between two beautiful women while trying to determine if he is high or not! Honey Dany Carrel is Lisalotte and Scilla Gabel is her arch enemy in this twisted game of love. High-tense performances and gloomy vibe take this film to another level!
Must watch this : on a stormy afternoon, at twilight. Have a pizza ready, a glass of sweet red wine and a fine company of the opposite gender. Enjoy it petrified (hue hue) under your blankets and who knows what might come out!
