Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)

Billy witnesses his parents getting murdered by a killer dressed in a Santa Claus costume. He grows up at a Catholic orphanage and by the time he turns 18 it is time to get his first job and walk on his own two feet. All seems to go well until Billy's trauma with Christmas and Santa Claus breaks out, turning him into a spree killer!
Charles E. Sellier Jr. may have had a short career as a director but this film was a instant classic. Raising all kinds of ruckus by the time it went out, this film grabs the essence and vibe of Christmas by the nuts and turns it completely the other way. Inspiring scenery, unbeatable 80's mood, interesting characters and of course the usual in slasher films, tits!
Robert Brian Wilson nails the part of seemingly-angel-but-about-to-knife-you kind of orphan kid who simply doesn't dig Christmas. Toni Nero is the violated victim that caused Billy's real personality to come out. Lilyan Chauvin is the bitch Mother Superior who abused Billy and Gilmer McCormick is Sister Margaret, who unlike her superior was good to him.
Must watch this : during the season right before Christmas, on the coldest day with a cup of relaxing herbal tea. Take a knife from your kitchen and play with it during the film.
