Night of the Lepus (1972)

An Arizona ranch is infested with mongrel rabbits. To take rid of them, owner of the ranch gets the help of a special zoologist who starts injecting these rabbits with hormones and genetically mutated blood in order to disrupt their reproduction. A genetically enlarged test rabbit escapes and it is out for blood...
You just gotta love these good old 70s Sci-Fi with environmental awareness. William F. Claxton directs this fluffy masterpiece that will surely have you changing between laughing madly and feeling thrilled. The sets are groovy and laid-back (desert scenes and ranches), the acting is quite good and the rabbits are malicious! What are you waiting for?
DeForest Kelly (Star Trek), Rory Calhoun and Stuart Whitman. All hard-case male characters, the good ol' American way. They turn from scientists and college presidents to gunslingers in a second. Female cast boasts hotty pants Janet Leigh (Psycho) in a not so screaming role!
Must watch this : with a plate of slow-cooked rabbit stew (he he he), a pint of dark beer and a big ass cigar. Invite your friends and enjoy!
