Take a Hard Ride (1975)

Pike, an old-time criminal but currently honest worker, goes on a suicide mission to deliver $86,000 in payroll money to a ranch in Sonora, Mexico. His road meets with Tyree's, a no-good gambler who seems to want to get his hands on the cash and they both encounter desperate prostitute Catherine and her loyal ace martial artist half-breed companion Kashtok. Now, they both have to pass through the dangerous desert, facing Kiefe's wrath...
Director Antonio Margheriti experiments with the mix of western and blaxploitation almost 40 years before Tarantino did. The result is  downright entertaining as Margheriti succeeds in maintaining every element of a western film that makes us happy but adding to it the easybreezy mood of a blaxploitation. Get ready for shootouts, desert, money, dynamite and lots of trash talk puns!
A big plus for this film is the incredible energy between Jim Brown and Fred Williamson. Their chemistry is amazingly vivid throughout the film and certainly brings a feeling of true comradeship. Also amazing is the performance of Lee Van Cleef, the bad guy with the killer look and the million ways to kill you. Completing the cast is Catherine Spaak as the prostitute and Jim Kelly, the famous karate master, as her martially skilled companion. A fine choice of actors for a fine film!
Must watch this : on a really hot summer day with a two glasses of iced tea and a cigar. After the film do yourself a favor, get in your car and start going for the nearest beach and have this fiery bullet playing while you speed down the road!

Escape From New York (1981)

1997. New York has been turned into the biggest maximum security prison in the world. The President's plane crashes into New York and he is held hostage by a group of criminals who demand better imprisonment conditions. There is only one man who can enter this prison and get out alive and that is Snake Plissken...
You can tell it's the 80's by the way the are dressed and you sure gotta love the weird charm of it! Another fine addition in the Sci-Fi genre by master John Carpenter. Dystopian situations, oppressive and corrupt government officials,a prison city run by a respected criminal and his team of weirdly dressed henchmen, a classic son of a bitch/hero and lots of 80's freakiness.
All-star male cast parading in this film! Lee Van Cleef, Ernest Borgnine, Kurt Russell and Isaac Hayes! The  General, the Taxi Driver, the Snake and the Duke. Too bad Kurt Russell's performance isn't as good as the others' or the level would have been much higher. But we don't care much, right? Especially when we have such a great story and violent 80's action? No sir, we don't!
Must watch this : the day before your country's elections. Grab a beer and watch this with the dudes. The next day remember that all politicians are crooked and vote as you must. Start a fight with the policemen standing outside the voting center just because you feel like it!

The Good,The Bad And The Ugly (1966) a.k.a Il Buono, Il Brutto, Il Cattivo

A no-good son of a bitch bounty hunter teams up with two men against another man. Each man's goal is to reach first a remote cemetery where a huge amount of gold is hidden waiting to be retrieved.
Sergio Leone only made some movies (as a director) but what he made he made it count. I could go on and on writing about this movie (as every other person who has seen it) but then its meaning would be lost. One just have to watch this and be ashamed is he still hasn't. Miles of sun and desert, cold-hearted mean driven by money and survival, tons of balls on the music by Ennio Morricone, all forged together under the great guidance by master Leone.
Clint Eastwood, a professor on "Being a fucking man-Advanced". All frigid and swift and macho, he should be a role model for every male born. Eli Wallach, a vivid portrayal of the greediness in men, a man who has lost his mission in life. Lee Van Cleef, a man born to be bad just because he is what he is and for that he goes all the way. The amazing trio that makes this film's main cast, the quintessence of  the Western movie genre, the all-time reference in every other Western movie character that followed. Take off your hat, you swine!
Must watch this : on a fucking hot Saturday morning with a tall glass of whiskey (I don't care what time it is) and huge ass cigar. Study Eastwood's facial expressions and then use them to get laid on that night. It will definitely work!
