  Brian De Palma has a secret but easily recognizable recipe for a crime drama film! Carlito's way follows paths that had already proven successful with Scarface but still, De Palma manages to create a fresh crime classic. Carlito's way focuses not only on the face-value of  sex, drugs and rock n' roll of the mafia life but also on the vanity and pain that surrounds such a lifestyle. Topped up with a mood-setting soundtrack and a nostalgic-y cinematography, this film makes for an instant viewing pleasure.
  Not much needs to be said about Pacino's acting on this one or in general. You get what you expect ; a solid performance of a character that is both a cruel son-of-a-bitch and a lover too. Sean Penn, on the other hand, is what really catches the eye. His personification of the lawyer that's much too eager to get his hands dirty but doesn't really have the balls for it is really something unique. Penelope Ann Miller also contributes an extra something to the plot as the girl madly in love with Carlito but so out of anything criminal that it hurts just to see them together.
Must watch this : on a hot summer night together with four hefty glasses of your choice of poison. Getting a bit drunk will help you get the feels with this movie even more. Just be careful of the ending! The real lesson of the movie is Regret Nothing but Regret Everything!

Jurassic Park (1993)

  An amusement park entrepreneur is ready to open his new attraction on a tropical island ; a zoo not with common animals but with cloned dinosaurs! A group of scientists and a lawyer are brought to the island in order to be convinced to endorse the new business but all hell breaks loose when the power system goes off...
  When Stephen Spielberg wants he does one hell of a job! Back in these days when Sci-Fi was a cheap and sometimes trashy business, Spielberg strikes with Jurassic Park and gives a new breath to the genre. Filled with intense and thrilling scenes and following a logical advance that does not allow you to question its credibility, this film is a must for any Sci-Fan geek.
  Hats off to the animation and special effects people (way ahead of their times) because the film in this sector kicks ass. Sam Neill and please-marry-me Laura Dern are the main characters with ball-buster Jeff Goldblum and Richard Attenborough filling the rest. Besides Goldblum everyone works well with each other and elevate this film to a higher level.
Must watch this : right after a huge BBQ party with all your friends and only when yo have eaten enough to hate yourself. Relax and watch this movie and later on think about the millions of years of evolution and how is it possible that you ate that much! Accompany with that dino monster !

Prison Heat (1993)

  Four American girls decide to go on a spontaneous adventure from Greece to Turkey. In their first hours in Turkey they are framed by corrupt officials and sent to prison. There they must face sick prison guards and inmates with sadistic lesbian intentions, while trying to find a way to escape...
  Women-In-Prison genre gets a new fresh revival in this 90's flick directed Joel Silberg. To be honest, the mood and the overall quality of the film cannot be compared to that of its 70's equivalents and it would be disrespectful to make such a comparison. Nevertheless, the film boasts some 90's bimbos in the environment that makes a good W.I.P movie ; lesbian inmates and guards, corrupt officers of the law, violence and human degradation. For any politically-not-correct viewer out there!
  The main characters of the film are played by Playboy bunnies so you can imagine that acting quality of that! Zero portrayal of emotion and expressions as stiff as what's between your legs when you see them, these "actors'" job is to be half naked or naked and not to actually act! You have been warned. Proceed with your own responsibility!
Must watch this : don't actually, but if you have to watch it do it in deep summer on a very hot morning. Get a freddo cappuccino, sit back and enjoy and after the film do yourself a favor and go to the beach!
