Meet Abby, a young, beautiful clack marriage counselor. Well, all that is about to change when her father-in-law releases a Demon of Sexuality by mistake while in Africa. When he finds out what he has done to her, he tries to perform an African Exorcism (he is an exorcist too) with the aid of his son and a policemen.
A blaxploitation remake of The Exorcist, by a classic blaxploitation director (William Girdler) with an all-black cast and even a black equivalent to exorcism.It doesn't get any more cheesy than that! This film is so ironic to the point it stops being ironic and it takes itself seriously sometimes! If you are not too mainstream and want to have a good time, do yourself a favor and watch this!
It is amazing that there is a specific cast that plays in most blaxploitaiton films! I mean, same actors different roles, same places but still too cool to care. Carol Speed is Abby in this one (and someone else in other blaxploitation) and is quite cute until she begins to change. There is a specific moment in the exorcism where the demon speaks foreign languages via her body and at some point she speaks Greek (as in the original Exorcist). The point is that one would expect some pretty dark, diabolic, ancient Greek speech but no! They picked out the most random,hillbilly Greek guy they could find in town and told him to just say some words (sic)! This is pure exploitation everybody! Love it or hate it!
Must watch this : if you have watched The Exorcist recently. If you are Greek (or speak Greek) get a lot of souvlaki and friends, watch this and wait for the epic part! Otherwise, just get junk food have a good (laugh) time!
