Behind the shocking brutality, it is actually poetic, an ode to the degradation of the human soul and its destruction in modern society.A must see for non-pussies.
Vincent Cassel palys Marcus, a man madly in love with Alex (Monica Bellucci) but who can't set aside his wild nature. Monica Bellucci, the presentation of fragile beauty and how easily it can be demolished and Albert Dupontel as they friend who still loves Alex and hates to see her with Marcus. Top-notch acting, European finesse and raw facts. It does not get any better than that.
Must watch this : definitely alone, not with any friends or significant others. This film speaks to you only so get a glass of wine and let it talk to you.
